Lindsey Martinez is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over ten years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. Lindsey began her career working with first-time adolescent parents, providing individual and group counseling, along with education. She then spent five years working in the school system, supporting students from elementary through high school. Prior to joining Jamie LaFevers and Associates, Lindsey was a therapist in private practice, providing support to adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing disordered eating, anxiety, body image concerns, and family-based treatment. She believes that ongoing professional growth, learning, and development are essential components of offering effective therapy.

She welcomes a collaborative approach to therapy in which both the client and clinician work together in the client’s best interest. She values transparency and informed decision-making as part of a best-practice approach. Lindsey believes that by working together and utilizing an evidence-based approach, healing can occur.

Lindsey’s clinical work focuses on the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, disordered eating, women’s issues, perinatal and postpartum concerns, and relationship challenges. She provides Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and supportive psychotherapy. Lindsey utilizes compassion, humor, and empathy to create a nonjudgmental, warm environment where growth and healing can occur.
