Jamie LaFevers, LCPC is a licensed clinical professional counselor and the founder of Jamie LaFevers & Associates, a private practice established in 2021 with one clear goal: to make high-quality mental health care easier to access and easier to navigate.

Jamie was encouraged to open her own practice after repeatedly seeing clients struggle with the same barriers. Phone calls unanswered. Emails ignored. Confusing insurance processes. Long waitlists with little guidance. Jamie LaFevers & Associates was built to remove those obstacles and replace them with clarity, responsiveness, and genuine support from the very first contact. The practice is designed to help clients feel informed, respected, and cared for before therapy even begins.

Jamie specializes in anxiety-based concerns, including OCD, phobias, and generalized anxiety. She takes a warm, straightforward, and collaborative approach, helping clients understand what is actually happening in their minds and bodies and why anxiety behaves the way it does. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, Jamie works with clients to identify practical, realistic strategies that fit their lives and lead to meaningful relief. Her work emphasizes understanding over shame and skill-building over quick fixes.

She also specializes in communication and boundary work across many types of relationships, including romantic partnerships, family systems, and professional or business relationships. Jamie helps clients develop clear, healthy rules for connection, learn how to navigate conflict without fear, and build confidence in expressing needs. Clients who struggle with people-pleasing, saying no, avoiding confrontation, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions often experience significant improvements in both their relationships and overall well-being through this work.

In addition to working directly with clients, Jamie provides clinical support for fellow therapist. This includes collaborative consultation, case management support, guidance on professional boundaries, practice development, and access to intervention and modality resources. She is deeply committed to supporting therapists as people, not just professionals, and enjoys helping clinicians find sustainable, effective ways to care for both their clients and themselves.

Jamie’s work integrates approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). In practice, this means therapy is collaborative, transparent, and grounded in evidence. Clients are treated as equal partners in the process, taught clear and accurate terminology, and given tools that are practical, research-supported, and adaptable. Jamie brings warmth, humor, thoughtful resource recommendations, and meaningful conversation into her work, creating an environment that feels both supportive and empowering.
